A little background history: I've been told before I have bad arches or no arch support in my foot. I don't really know one way or the other because I haven't seen a podiatrist since I was a little kid. About 4 days ago I developed a pain in my right foot on the right hand side. It begins about an inch back behind the small toe, I would say about midway through the foot itself, and continues all the way back to the heel, getting more painful towards the middle then ebbing off as it gets closer to the heel. The pain is so bad, my body will not physically let me put weight on that side of my foot, when I try I instinctively roll my foot back to the left side and shift my weight. It even hurts if I hold it up in the air unsupported, but eventually settles to a dull ache after a few seconds in that scenario. I did some research and what I came up with said it was my arch muscle was inflamed, and that icing was the way to help it. As I type this I've had my foot on an icepack for over an hour and it's done nothing for the pain so I guess next will be to try heat. I've done nothing recently to harm my foot, and I'm at my wits end.. I just want it to stop hurting so if you can offer any advice I would very much appreciate it. Thank you for time to read this rather long post lol.
