Hi, i am a 38 yr. old male , 210 lbs., muscular, 6ft. 2 inches tall. I started having severe pain in both feet 3 weeks ago. I went to the local podiatrist and he dianosed me having flat feet. I started wearing custom orthotics 1 week ago, and had 2 shots in each foot the past 2 weeks. I got a script to go to physical therapy, so i will start that as soon as i can. I also bought a good pair of new balance sneaks. The thing is i am on my feet all day. I work at a t-shirt plant and spread cloth all day and cut shirts. I am having SEVERE pain in both feet. The doc also gave me a brace to stretch out my plantar and achilles, he said both are very tight. He has some kind of ultrasound machine (like the kind for pregnant women) and put the end on the plantar, and somehow measured the plantar and said i was over double the limit for the male patient. Anyway today i was there to get 2 more shots and we discussed the possibility of surgery. He explained that he would cut the ligament or plantar, because it is so tight. He said it is a 15 minute surgery, and recovery is about 2 weeks. Doctors or experts in this field i need some advice. This pain is very severe. Please help!
